Organic Fertilizer is a natural source of plant nutrients and organic matter used to improve soil fertility, support healthy plant growth, and promote long-term soil health. It is generally produced from naturally derived materials such as composted plant residues, animal manure, crop waste, agricultural by-products, and other approved organic sources. Organic fertilizers are widely used in agriculture, horticulture, gardening, nurseries, and sustainable farming systems.
Unlike fertilizers that primarily supply nutrients in readily available mineral forms, organic fertilizers can also contribute organic matter to the soil. As organic materials decompose, nutrients are gradually released and become available to plants. This gradual nutrient release, together with improvements in soil structure and biological activity, makes organic fertilizers an important component of integrated nutrient management.
